About

I’m a writer and software developer living in Victoria, British Columbia. I was born in Calgary, raised in San Diego, and moved to Vancouver after high school. I hold an Honours BA and an MFA from the University of British Columbia.

Writing: I write screenplays and both short- and long-form fiction, mostly in the speculative genres. I'm interested in the ways in which technology creates, changes, and mediates peoples’ relationships to each other and the world around them.

Software: I’m interested in API and platform development, the Rails ecosystem, content strategy, and tooling and processes to keep developers engaged and productive. I currently manage a team of developers at Clio.

I have way too many hobbies. Find me running, biking, playing music, taking photos, and trying to find decent non-alcoholic beer. I’ve also been known to sleep on occasion.
